King David - A Man After God's Own Heart

My dear friends,

How is your daily devotion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? When did you last think about Him? What did He last speak to you?

I want to share my deepest desire for my son, Isaac. When I pray for him or when I hold him, in my heart (sometimes with my lips) I ask God for His Holy Spirit to work in my son's life and fix the little one's heart towards Him even at this young age. I ask God to give my son a loyal heart and willing mind: to serve Him in truth and sincerity, to fear Him, to obey His voice, to follow all His ways and commandments, to walk before Him humbly, obediently and blamelessly. All I want from my son is to love my God in truth and sincerity with all his very being.

A Word in my heart and now it is a regular prayer in my life for some time begging God to fulfill in my life. I want my son Isaac to describe me with the following Word as Solomon spoke to God about his dad, David. Note that Solomon didn't mention any of David's accomplishments or achievements.

1 Kings 3:6
Solomon said: "You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him"

Join me in serving Him and exalting His Name with the following words:

How great are You, O God. There is none like You, O God. Your love, goodness, kindness, grace and mercy have left us with no other choice, but serve, worship and love You, O God.

God bless,
David Cannon

P.S. This is my calling 2 Peter 1:12-15 (New King James Version) "For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease."
